Watch it build

Tell the AI what to make and watch it happen in your own viewer: the part opens, the feature tree fills in one step at a time, and every step is a real step you can undo, edit or delete.

  1. Open the viewer on your account and keep the tab in view. Allow Work in your open viewer for your AI connection on the Allow page; it is off until you turn it on. Modeling is a Pro feature.
  2. Ask the AI to make the part. It calls build_part with watch set (or build_part and then viewer_part_show_build).
  3. The part opens in your viewer and History, the feature tree, opens beside it. The steps are laid down one at a time, each one built and drawn before the next begins.
  4. Every step is a real History step. Undo takes them back newest first, and you can edit, rename or delete any step yourself.
  5. To change the part, ask again: edit_part adds, replaces or removes steps, and only the steps that changed are laid down again.

If you have unsaved work open, the AI is told and nothing is replaced.
